Things People Ask Before They Come
-
Genuinely, no. Some of the people in the room have followed Jesus for sixty years, some are here because a friend asked, and some aren't sure what they think. You don't have to sort that out before you walk in, and nobody will ask you to declare a position.
-
Whatever you've got on. You'll see flannel, jeans, sweatshirts, and the occasional suit. Nobody is checking, and coming straight from the boat or the trail is perfectly acceptable.
-
Park in the lot off US-23 and come in the main entrance marked “Sanctuary” — someone will be there to point you the rest of the way. If you'd rather slip in without a conversation, that's completely fine too.
-
Kids are welcome in worship for the whole hour — wiggling, whispering, and dropped crayons included. We have special grab bags filled with all sorts of things suitable for all ages. We also have a special time during service specifically for the children.
-
Traditional, and sung by actual people rather than performed at you. Piano, hymns, and a choir that still shows up week after week. No praise band, no screens, no lights — just sing along, or don't.
-
Right around an hour. There's coffee and conversation after if you want it, and a clear path to your car if you don't.
-
No and no. We won't make you stand up, introduce yourself, or wear a visitor badge. An offering is collected during worship — please let it pass you by. Guests give us nothing but their presence.
